BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND.

Thank you, Jesus.

We all know it as the time he came out of his cave at Easter, to eat a creme egg. So excited for a four day weekend!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Okay, it’s March. BUT this is our first post of 2013!

Please, calm the fuck down.

We have been very lazy/busy piggies so far this year, but promise to get our trot on for the rest of our lives/the foreseeable future/when we feel like it.

Girl Power

Lena Dunham, has been slowly but surely taking over America with her true to life and gritty screen writing and on screen portrayal of ‘Hannah’ in the HBO favourite ‘Girls’

Despite the initial reports, in my opinion it puts ‘Sex and the City’ to shame and bares little to no resemblance to the show that the Carrie Bradshaw character headed.

I am so glad that season one is finally gracing our UK screens on SKY Atlantic. It goes to places that previous female Romcom/Sitcom’s have failed to go and that is, the ugly truth and every day battles a young female goes through.

It’s not fun, we don’t have loads of money and getting our hearts broken is much, much more brutal. Lena manages to capture the true battle women have with being independent and unlike ‘Sex and the City’ it doesn’t revolve around finding love.

Another plus is that men can watch it too, the humour isn’t light and fluffy and there isn’t a Manolo in sight.

It’s full of Sex, Swear words and ‘Indie style’ awkward humour.

Our Piggies favourite quotes so far include:

‘That was really good, I almost came’

‘When I look at both of you, a Coldplay song plays in my heart.’

‘I’m like the least virginy virgin ever’

Get watching Piglets, you’ll never look back and Monday nights will never be the same again.

Bitch Please..

The boys in love with me, and is too scared to admit his feelings.

Is your love big enough?

Ours certainly is! Now; we three pigs are a very musical bunch, and when we stumble upon greatness while chomping our way through slop we can’t help but celebrate.

Today we are ecstatic after stumbling upon Lianne La Havas there are little to no words that can describe the pure glee felt when listening to her debut album. There is nothing subtle about the lyrics, the messages are clear and personal without being ‘glittery’. The songs are organic which makes them easy to relate to. As much as you get to delve into Lianne’s world she dives into yours and with each chord played she delicately plucks at your heart strings.

One little piggy was lucky enough to see her live (after dragging a big bad wolf along who was insisting on raving it up in dub step tents) by the end of the set they were both fully converted La Havites! With a voice that wrapped our pork chops in velvet she was nothing short of amazing.

Hard pushed to choose a favourite song our trotters wave while we snort gleefully along to the triumphant and playful ‘Forget’.

Get listening Piglets you won’t be disappointed!
